Pick up from Nairobi
Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup in Nairobi before setting out on a scenic drive to Samburu National Reserve. On arrival, enjoy lunch and relax before an afternoon game drive where you’ll encounter Samburu’s rare northern species such as the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, and Somali ostrich. Overnight at Samburu Game Lodge, Ashnil Samburu, or similar.
Spend a full day exploring the wilds of Samburu. Begin with a morning game drive followed by leisure at the lodge, then head out again in the afternoon in search of elephants, lions, and leopards along the Ewaso Nyiro River. You may also opt to visit a Samburu village for a rich cultural experience. Overnight at the lodge.
After breakfast, drive south to the Mount Kenya region. Stay at iconic lodges such as Serena Mountain Lodge or The Ark, both offering unique opportunities to view animals from raised decks as they gather at nearby waterholes.
