Lake Nakuru National Park

Famed worldwide as a birdwatcher’s paradise, Lake Nakuru National Park is one of Kenya’s most celebrated safari stops. The alkaline waters of the lake attract vast numbers of flamingos, pelicans, and over 450 bird species, though sightings depend on water levels. Beyond birds, Nakuru is a stronghold for both black and white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, and lions that sometimes perch in trees.
